Crusher ANC 2 is equipped with our most advanced noise canceling — adjustable 4-mic active noise canceling. Hesh ANC is our budget-friendly option with 4-mic active noise canceling. For fans of on-ear headphones, there’s Icon ANC with active noise canceling.

How do noise canceling headphones work?

Active noise canceling headphones detect ambient sound around the listener and create the opposite waves to counter the distracting noises. The sound waves cancel each other out, so all you hear is the music, movie or podcast that you’re listening to.

What’s the difference between noise canceling and noise isolating headphones?

Noise-isolating headphones physically block sound waves from entering your ears. All headphones, even on-ear headphones, block some outside sound. Noise-canceling headphones block sound actively by detecting ambient sound around the listener and create the opposite waves to counter the distracting noises.

How do I activate noise canceling mode on my headphones?

We currently carry 3 different noise canceling headphones. For Hesh ANC, simply press the top ANC button once to activate noise canceling. For Crusher ANC 2, flip the switch on the earcup to toggle between ANC and Stay-Aware mode or say “Hey Skullcandy, ANC ON.” For Icon ANC, just press the Power Button twice to toggle between ANC and Stay Aware Mode.
